Permissions
Two distinct permission sets: one user permission group (controls who sees public widgets) and two admin permissions (control which admins reach the dashboards and the user-attributed search data).
User permission
AdminCP > Groups & permissions > Permissions > [MC] Search Analytics.
| Permission | Default | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| View Search Analytics widgets | Allow | Lets the user group see [MC] Search Analytics widgets on any widget position. Revoke to hide the public widget surface for that group. |
Admin permissions
AdminCP > Admins > Admin permissions > (edit an admin) > [MC] Search Analytics.
| Permission | Default | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| View search analytics dashboard | Allow (super admin only) | Required to see the AdminCP > Logs > Search Analytics navigation entry and any dashboard. |
| View raw user-attributed searches | Deny | Required to see attributed-searcher columns and to drill from a query into the members who ran it. Has no effect when Attribute searches to users is off, since no user id is stored. |
Revoking access for a single group
To hide the public widgets from one group while leaving others unaffected:
- AdminCP > Groups & permissions > Permissions, then edit the group.
- Set View Search Analytics widgets to Never.
Public widgets render an empty payload for that group; the widget position itself is not removed.
