Amazon affiliate links

The Amazon affiliate links option at AdminCP > Setup > Options > [MC] PC Builds turns each component part name on a public build card into a search link to Amazon, tagged with your Associates tag.

Configuration​

The option holds a small structure with a per-region tag. The default Amazon region is used if no per-locale match is configured. Empty tag = the option is off.

After saving:

  • Profile build cards render component part names as links: https://www.amazon.<tld>/s?k=<part-name>&tag=<your-tag>.
  • BB-code embeds ([pcbuild]) honour the same configuration.
  • The user editor is unaffected; only the public-render side adds links.
  • If the option is empty.
  • If the viewer has an ad-blocker that strips affiliate parameters (this is between the viewer's browser and Amazon — the link is still rendered server-side).
  • For component slots that have no part name entered.

Compliance​

Affiliate disclosure is your responsibility. The add-on does not auto-insert disclosure text. Configure your forum-wide or per-page disclosure copy through the standard means.
